Meet Simply HomeBirth

Established in 2010, Simply HomeBirth is a licensed midwifery practice that took over from an existing practice that had served the same community for over 30 years. Since December 2019, we've continued that legacy at our location at 29 N Decatur St, Strasburg.

Certified nurse midwife, certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and licensed with the Board of Medicine in the state of PA.

MPH, Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine
BS in Biology, Pepperdine University

Experience

Has practiced midwifery in New York and Pennsylvania, in both hospital and home birth settings.

Ellen Razgaitis, CNM

Certified nurse midwife, certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and licensed with the Board of Medicine in the state of PA.

Our Story

A Midwifery Partnership

Rachael and Ellen met at nursing school orientation in New York. Both decided to become midwives after working in other fields — and from that first day, they formed a friendship that has grown over many years and great distances.

They've supported each other throughout their careers and personally, sometimes even while living on different continents. In 2020, Ellen relocated from New York City with her family to join Simply HomeBirth, and their partnership has grown even more since.
